About this event
A petting zoo - but with sound synthesizers! All ages encouraged; drop in and explore an array of electronic instruments from the circulating collection of Synth Library Portland. Come press buttons, turn knobs, hit pads, and hear the sounds synthesizers and drum machines actually make.
Things kick off with a synth performance and demo in the first 30 minutes, and then Synth Library Portland's instruments are yours to explore and play freely - discover how these instruments create and shape sound. No previous musical or electronic experience is necessary, and all ages and experience levels are welcome to attend. SLP volunteers will be on hand to help you with the equipment and answer questions about synthesizers!
